Eleonora Gronchi

Director, performer, playwright

I'm a creator of multidisciplinary shows with a distinct visual aesthetic. I specialize in contemporary theater, circus, and opera. My work revolves around redefining the coexistence of diverse art forms, exploring how each one's essence can flourish in relation to the others.

Originally from San Miniato, Italy, nestled among the hills of Tuscany.

My journey into the world of performing arts began at the age of 11 under the guidance of director Firenza Guidi. Working closely with Guidi, I delved into contemporary performance, textual theater, and collaborated with numerous international artists.

For over 20 years, I have been a part of ELAN Frantoio, the company founded by Guidi, where we create site-specific, multidisciplinary performances under the concept of "theater without a stage". In these productions, the relationship with the audience is intimate and direct, akin to guiding spectators through a film set experience.

I graduated in Organization and Management of Arts Industries and Events in the University of Florence and then in Lyrical Singing at the Conservatory G. B. Martini in Bologna, where I began to approach the world of opera direction and musical theater projects.

I arrived in Valencia in 2019 and founded, with other professionals in the sector, the center for training and professionalization in circus arts CREAT, which is today an internationally recognized training project.

In 2019, in collaboration with Pablo Meneu, I also founded the company DelsAltres with which  we created the shows :BarbaritatsBürstner's Club (best circus show at the 2022 Valencian Performing Arts Awards and finalist at the Talia Awards of the Academy of Performing Arts of Spain) and Llum.

In 2023 I co-direct with Pablo Meneu Verde Casi Negro, a public production of the Valencian Institute of Culture.
